What is a sidelights and a toplight (the latter is also known as a fanlight) ?
Whilst panels are unglazed, sidelights are double-glazed side panels that flank one or both sides of an entrance door to accommodate larger openings. Designs with glass also allow natural light to enter a property.
A toplight is a panel of glass that is fitted at the head of the door. They are often seen in mature properties. Toplights allow light to flow into a property whilst keeping the entrance and hallway private.
